Ixia restaurant/bar

Description

Ixia is the Baltimore region’s hottest and unique new restaurant, lounge and bar, located at 518 North Charles Street (the former site of Louie’s Bookstore and Café). Ixia reflects the philosophy that life at its most basic level is clean, pure and beautifully simplistic.

This sleek, contemporary establishment adds a dash of sophistication to Baltimore's Charles Street offerings.


"Ixia" is a tall and slender flower that is native to South Africa. The restaurant’s owner, Un Kim, said she selected this name because of the flower's graceful style.

Ixia - the restaurant and lounge - is also a reflection of graceful style, retaining many of the building’s original architectural details. The approximately 2,400 square foot restaurant seats 150 to 175 patrons on two levels, and features a full-service bar in an inviting and intimate atmosphere.
